The Unity Seminar –Chaplaincy, Volunteers and the Faith Community

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is, for brothers to dwell together in unity!” Psalm 133:1

The Prison Chaplaincy Service and Prison Fellowship New Zealand and Alpha in Prisons have combined and presented a seminar on prison ministry for the church leaders, chaplains, and church volunteers. It explored the changing roles of chaplains and prison volunteers, and our plan to unite in purpose to more effectively serve the Kingdom of God through prison ministry.

We also shared some of the 'leading edge' approaches to prison ministry, examining effective practice in the areas of relational ministry, worship, bible studies, programs, and much more.

This was the most significant Prison Volunteer's Seminar in a decade.
